Optibelt enters into retail joint venture with DESCH

Expand the strengths in Europe

Arntz OPTIBELT Group and drive technology manufacturer DESCH Antriebs­technik GmbH & Co.KG (DAT) have resolved to form a joint venture that will include the company DESCH Power Transmission Center GmbH (DPC). Purpose of the merger is to keep expanding the strengths of DPC as competent and leading vendor of standard drive elements in Europe. The joint venture will retain a workforce of forty staff at its headquarters site in Arnsberg, Germany.

“The idea is to boost business growth by ensuring a high degree of availability and optimal service, backed by the technical competence of OPTIBELT and DAT,” said Hendrik Desch, CEO of DESCH Antriebstechnik. “For decades, OPTIBELT has maintained great business ties with DPC in the supplier industry. Our intention now is to collaborate in this trading company. The metal assortment of DPC perfectly complements the drive belt range of Arntz OPTIBELT Group,” added Reinhold Mühlbeyer, CEO of Arntz OPTIBELT Group.

The future product spectrum of DPC will include standard and custom V pulleys, toothed belt pulleys, V belts and toothed belts, flexible and rigid couplings, screw-on hubs and taper-lock bushings.
