CLAMP COUPLING DIN 115

The shell coupling DIN 115 made of high-quality grey cast iron is a very robust torsionally and flexurally rigid connection coupling.

This coupling is one of the oldest designs for the rigid connection of two shafts and has been tried and tested for decades.

These rigid shaft couplings transmit high torques without wear and maintenance.

Other features of the clamping couplings are high rigidity and a solid construction with reinforcing ribs.

The two-piece standard design of the rigid coupling DIN 115 (type A) enables simple and quick radial assembly.

The shell couplings are designed with a cylindrical finish bore and keyway as standard. In addition, bores without keyway and bores with different diameters (type B), as well as with insert rings for vertical assembly (type C) are available on request.

Advantages

  • Maintenance-free

  • Wear-free

  • Cost-effective

  • High availability

Areas of application

The areas of application for DIN 115 shell couplings are predominantly applications where no compensation for shaft misalignments is necessary and a high torque transmission is required.

The main areas of application are, for example, transmission shafts and mixers.

However, they are also used in general (special) machine construction for a wide range of applications.
