Robust shaft connection
The DIN 116 flange coupling made of high-quality grey cast iron or steel is a very robust connection coupling that is resistant to torsion and bending.
This coupling is one of the oldest designs for the rigid connection of two shafts and has been tried and tested for decades.
These rigid shaft couplings transmit high torques without wear and maintenance.
Other features of the clamping couplings are high rigidity and solid construction.
The two-part standard design of the rigid coupling DIN 116 (type A) enables simple and quick assembly.
The disc couplings are designed with a cylindrical finish bore and keyway as standard. In addition, bores with different diameters (type B), as well as with axial thrust washers for vertical assembly (type C) are available on request.

Areas of application
The areas of application of the DIN 116 flange couplings are mainly applications where no compensation of shaft misalignments is necessary and a high torque transmission is required.
Main applications are e.g. transmission shafts and mixers.
However, they are also used in general (special) machine construction for a wide range of applications.
